About 3D
I just watched Tron:Legacy in 3D.
It starts with a 3D Dysney logo.
We can see Disney castle in the background and Disney logo over it in 3D, it’s detached from the background.
Can we create 3D logos like this?
When people put their 3D glasses they’ll see the same effect.
If yes, how?We have so much time and so little to do! / Willy Wonka

Yes, you can create 3D in Vegas Pro. Set your project up for 3D (if you have red/green glasses use the Anaglyphic (red/cyan) setting). Place the title on a track and set that Track for 3D Track Motion. Then open the Track Motion settings and under Stereoscopic 3D Camera change the Lens Separation to 2.5 (that’s the interocular distance of human eyes). Now rotate the track in 3D space with your 3D glasses on and you’ll see “real” 3D.
This would be fine for titles because it turns the entire track to a 3D plane, but it won’t make individual objects 3D. It’s still a cool effect when using 3D Track Motion.

It just mess up red and blue, everything get out of focus.
I have this 3D glass that came with my 3D LG tv, with it nothing changes.
Nothing is in 3D, I just see red and blue lines coming through, it looks weird.We have so much time and so little to do! / Willy Wonka

I’m guessing that your TV does not use Anaglyphic (red/cyan) so your glasses will not work. You need to buy the old 3D glasses that they used in the 1950’s where one eye is RED and the other is CYAN like these.

Yes, since it is encoded as Anaglyphic red/cyan you need red/cyan glasses to view it.

No, you can use any of the 13 3D formats that Vegas supports. Anaglyphic is the easiest to work with and the glasses cost $1.99 instead of $99 which is probably what your TV glasses cost.

You would have to know how they work to determine what kind of 3D video to make and then you would probably need a 3D Blu-ray player and burn a 3D Blu-ray disc in order top watch it. This is why you’ll only see Anaglyphic red/cyan on the Internet. Every other format requires specialized hardware.

It depends on the technology that your TV use.

…and that’s the problem. Different TV’s use different technologies. So unless you want to become an extert in 3D technolgies, just buy a $1.99 pair of Anaglyphic red/cyan glasses to play around with on your PC.

Do you really think prices are the same everywhere?
Do you really think I have the same facility of buying those glasses as you have there?
I always thought how funny is that some people think things are the same everywhere.
I’ll try to find it but for sure it’ll cost me much more than 2 dollars.
The major problem is people here is buying those 3D tvs that don’t use those red/blue glasses so there’s no purpose of making a video people will have to by those glasses to watch, the best thing would be making it for those tvs kind of glasses 😉We have so much time and so little to do! / Willy Wonka

The red/cyan glasses are for you to work with while editing on the PC. You don’t have to render to that format. You can render to a format that your 3D TV supports. You can also use whatever format you want to edit with on your PC but you will need very expensive hardware to do it. I was just trying to give you the cheapest option.
