    If you convert it to a plain text file, you could read it with a script. Reading the file is pretty easy, but what you do with the text is the tricky part.

    if you just need it as a list (ie, you don’t actually need separate text layers to manipulate in ae), then you could create pdf of the doc and import the pdf in as a layer to manipulate in ae…. obviously any formatting to the text would need to be done prior to making the pdf…

    there’s also the copy/paste option from word to ae. it just comes down to what you need.
