Say you are blending Layer A and B. You want something between multiply and color burn. Sure, you can duplicate layer A and adjust opacity of the two Layer A’s. But what is the more sophisticated way? (and without 3rd party plugins)

Why? Because sometimes you have tons parameters, effects, etc. on Layer A and you don’t want to have to make all the adjustments twice. Yes, you could parent and then pickwhip every parameter, but that’s no fun when you have hundreds of parameters.

Is there a way with built in plugins to apply to layer A?
I tried Blend, but it only seems to blend itself with itself, not on the layers below.

OR a way to make a new Layer C that acts as a clone of Layer A?
…So just now, I’ve found that “set channels” on Layer C works pretty good, but layers must be same size and you then parent C to B, but would love to hear of a better way.
