I feel dumb asking but I’d like to buy the standard decklink. All I want to do with it is preview my after effects projects on to my tv with good ole composite video and audio cables. It seems that decklink doesn’t have any composite outputs, am I mistaken? The decklink seems to have every output in the known universe except simple RCA composite connectors. Am I missing something? Please help a confused motion graphics artist.

I believe the base model has SDI only. The simplest one that has composite out would be the Decklink SP I think. You use the “Y” connector from the component out and set it to composite in the Decklink control panel.

I believe you can do this cheaply with the Intensity Pro. You hook the analog Y out to the composite input of the reference monitor.
