I have a current (re-)install of FCP 6.0.4 running on a MBP with 10.5.5. I’ve been working with MXF files imported through Calibrated’s MXF Import, shot at 108050i. No problems until today, going through ~5 hrs. of material, organizing, all fine. Suddenly, I’m looking at (literally) an hour to open a project. I trashed everything, re-installed everything, ran DW, did permissions, etc.

I’ve noticed that having an active network connection adds to the “hang”. FCP takes forever to load with an active network connection-

I’ve tried blocking and un-blocking with both OSX’s firewall and Little Snitch, to no avail. Unplugging will actually allow me to get FCP up and running, but I still am waiting for a (newly created and saved) project to load, after an hour- “Reading project… 20%”

My previously OK projects are brutally slow to load, including autosaves from a more stable period. I’m stumped.

Sorry if this sounds like a lot of issues at once- may be. I’ve tried all the usual stuff and the bottom line is that FCP seems to be buggered. Is this a 6.0.4 vs. MXF issue? Thanks in advance.
