A reminder for all who post here…
We have a thread below where unreleased software has been mentioned causing (at least for me) some concern.
If you have in your possession, unreleased software (sometimes called “beta”), chances are if you didn’t download it from a publically available and accessible site, it is considered proprietary intellectual property.
Most people who test in these situations sign a Non Disclosure Agreement, which lays out what can NOT be talked about outside of direct conversation or correspondence with the company.
A public forum like this one could incur legal exposure if used to “leak” information about unreleased products prior to the manufacturers’s desire to do so.
Please take your agreements and your obligations seriously if you have been asked to help develop the very products that help all of us make our living. It’s a priviledge that isn’t offered lightly, but can cause serious problems if taken that way.
Common sense please.
