a problem with FCP and/or IO
Hi guys,
have rendered a couple quicktimes via motion and after effects and imported into FCP. when brought into a sequence they appear in my FCP monitor via still frame but need to be rendered. When I render, the rendered portion appears solid green (or gray) and my tv ouput on my monitor does the same. I have trashed my user settings and re-booted the program but still same problem. Any ideas? Is this a Quicktime component issue or something else?Rick

You need to change your sequence settings to match what the video you imported is. The default for a timeline is DV. You should then re-edit the material into the timeline and you should be able to play it back without the red bar and rendering.
