My internet used to come to my 2 Macs like this:
Cable Modem -> Ethernet to Router -> Ethernet to Switch -> Ethernet Cables to Powermac and iMac

Everything worked fine. Now, I have a new setup:
Cable Modem -> Ethernet to Wireless Router -> Wireless Signal to iMac Airport -> iMac shares internet over ethernet to Switch -> Ethernet to Powermac

Ok, now in this new situation both computers can surf the web. Both can sync to the .Mac service. But Mail on my Powermac can’t find the server. (I can log into the same mail system using Safari.) Is this a limitation of the “Share Internet” function? Is there something I can do to fix this or do I have to run an ethernet cable again and go back to my old setup?

    Thanks in advance!

Try configuring Mail identical to the way it is on the iMac

    Cheers
