A few questions regarding FCS upgrade please…
After reading a bunch of posts on upgrading, I’m now more confused than ever! Actually I have a plan but had a few questions first. I think I will do clean install on a new hard drive.
1. I have 10.5.8 now. Do I HAVE to get Snow Leopard, or is it just a good idea to stay with an upgraded OS?
2. I noticed Snow Leopard for $29 on Apple’s website, but that’s for the upgrade. Can I use that disc to do a clean install on a blank hard drive, or would I have to buy a full version of Snow Leopard?
3. Should I update all the drivers/firmware on my peripherals after install, or just wait to see which ones don’t work or are buggy, and THEN update?
4. Any other issues with a new install? (Using old files, settings, etc.)

From 10.5 you need a full upgrade See Amazon for about $100.00
You don’t HAVE to upgrade. Do u want to?
If you do, it’s best to clean install everything w/ the latest.Chris Tompkins
