A few beginner questions. Sorry :(
I’m switching to Premiere CS4 from a different editing application and just want to ask a few things..
1. Other than being able to change speed over time with keyframes, is there any difference in changing clip speed using time remapping or by changing clip speed/duration by CTRL-R?
2. I need a fast way to make a clip 50% speed or 30% speed after I drop it on the timeline. Other than CTRL-R and typing ’50’ are there other quick ways?
3. What’s a fast way to copy and paste a clip attributes? This is another thing I do a lot of. Can I select which attributes?
4. Can I make the mouse wheel zoom into the timeline rather than the + and – keys?
5. I need a hard ‘flash’ -from- white on clips. One way I can think of would be a white solid on a layer above a clip and a crossfade effect to fade the white away. Other than this, is there a better way?
6. How can I create a white solid clip? Or a clip of any colour? I can only seem to create a black clip by going File -> New -> Black Video.
7. Lets say I have a clip on the timeline amongst hundreds of others, and I want to see where this clip is in it’s original source file in the source monitor – (where I first selected the in/out points) How can I do this? Why? For the reason of possibly selecting other in/out points around that time frame
Sorry for all these questions..
