A crowd of people in PI3?
Okay this is kinda piggy backing on my previous question about a crowd of people turning into a logo. I just saw this tutorial about making a crowd of people with Trapcode particular. Can someone go through the process of showing how this is done for Particle Illusions – make a tutorial or article to post on the Cow? I just got Particle Illusion 3 over Trapcode and I’m just learning PI3, so I’m a noob. Any help or tutorial would be greatly appreciated.

I don’t think it would be a simple effect to mimic simply because Particular is a 3D system and pI isn’t. But not that it can’t be done. If you were to emit a looping video clip from a line emitter, with Size over Life set to scale the particles up over time and with Keep Particles in Order>Oldest in Front selected, you could probably pull off something similar.

Yeah the more I look into it, the more I think Trapcode Particular is the one to do this.
I need to get TP plugin anyway 🙂
