Kelly,
1) On the options|preferences|editing tab set the ‘quick fade length for audio events (ms)’ to 0. The default setting on this is 10ms. Leaving this at 10ms this will supress any crack or pops when the wave is cut off abruptly. 10ms is 1/100 of a second, it is doubtful that you would notice this quick fade out/in.
2) Audio events are manipulated at the ‘sample’ level, not the frame level. On the options|preferences|editing tab uncheck the box for ‘Do not quantize to frames for audio only edits’. Then when ‘quantize to frames’ is on, it will be on for audio events also.
3) (from another post) Shift-click options|preferences and select the internal tab. In the box at the bottom (show only prefs containing) enter ‘AudioASRType’ the default is 2, change this to your preference in the following list.
2 = fast logarithmic
1 = linear
-2 = slow logarithmic
4 = smooth cubic
-4 = sharp cubic
Be very careful in the internal tab, but if things get messed up you can always re-enter the defaults, they are listed.
Hope this helps,
Jeff
