A Better Bend effect?
I need to bend something that looks like a pencil, I need it to be a sharp bend, and I need to be able to animate the angle so that one side of it adjusts with the angle, and the other stays stationary.
Essentially, I’m looking for an effect that does exactly what Mirror would do for me, except that I don’t want it mirrored.
I’ve had terrible results with CCBend and CCBender. Any ideas I’m missing?

Could you possibly use two Mirror effects, and link them via Expressions so that as one center point moves, the other moves in an inverse number? Does that make any sense?
Also, would the free Omino Snake plugin be of any use? Here’s a link to a tutorial and the download (Mac only, apparently):

Would some combination of Puppet Pins and Starch work?

The Puppet effect with some starch pins should do what I think that you’re asking for.
