    Hi guys.

I made an animation sequence that I’m satisfied with running at 8fps (the composition is set to 8 fps). When I render it as 23.976, 24, or 30 etc. the footage gets speeded to that frame-rate . I was wondering if there was an easy way to get that 8fps look yet make it editable for the editor I’m doing this for. That footage he’s using is shot at 23.976fps.

Thanks guys, I look forward to hearing what you have to say.

If you are nesting your 8 fps comp inside a 23.976 fps comp and want to retain the 8 fps look, do the following:

    Open the 8 fps comp.

Open its composition settings (Cmd-K on a Mac, Ctrl-K on a PC).

    Click the Advanced tab.

Check “Preserve frame rate when nested or in render queue.”
