    7D connection to computer.

    I have a canon 7D, and a mac book. When I connect the camera to the computer, it only appears in iphoto and won’t come up on my desktop or in finder. I would like to put the vids from the camera somewhere else than iphoto, but it wont let me.
    Has anyone heard of this problem, and or have any solutions?

    You need an CF reader.

    I believe you have to install the Canon software that came with the camera in order to plug camera directly to computer. That is what I did, and I am able to view footage off the camera when I don’t have my card reader.
