    Hi,

I have encountered different specifications for colour bars to be recorded onto tapes for delivery. For example, a programme may need 75% bars on Digital Betacam and 100% bars when delivering the HDCAM version.

I am wondering what type of colour bars the signal ‘PAL colour bar’ that is generated in FCP actually is.

And how do I generate 75% and 100% colour bars in FCP.

    Thanks.

    Regards,

    SK

FCP has several bars…. look at the generators menu and pick the ones you need

    Hi Richard,

    Thanks for your reply.

Actually, what I should have asked is which of the bars generated by FCP is 75% and 100% bars. The ones that are in the generators menu do not indicate.

I had actually digitised a 100% bars signal off a tape recorded with colour bars. Is there a way to save this signal in FCP so that I could select it from the generators menu?

    Thanks

    SK
