720p/60 Slow Mo Issue. Avid 5.5
Working in Avid 5.5. Our end product will be 1080i 59.94. Our Camera crew shot with the sony EX3. The footage was given to me at 720P/60 which they intend to be slow Mo. I’m able to Link AMA to the one volume but I think it’s only because they shot normal for the first part of the day because on the next day of footage everything is 720P and I’m not able to link to that.
• Does anyone know how to link to this footage with AMA?
• Does anyone know how to transcode this footage because it won’t allow me to do this either in this project. -

Is this still the case when AMA’ing to to it in a 720p/59/94 project type? Frame rate adjustments happen in the timeline, and not as part of the source settings via AMA, although that would be a great feature to add.
Try 720p first, them open the bin in your project and proceed from there. 720p/59.94 in a 1080i/59.9 won’t result in slomo since they are both 59.94 – I assume your looking for a frame to field conversion which would result in a 2x slomo would need to be done in the timeline with the speed effect.
