Hello – I’m trying to author a 720p/59.94 BD-R and can’t get my video to transcode properly. I have a 720p/59.94 QT Reference file out of our Avid. I’ve set Encore’s transcode to 1280×720 Maximum Quality. When I burn a disc the video doesn’t look very good and it looks deinterlaced. Is anyone out there doing this and have any ideas on what I’m doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

You should probably use an actual encoding software rather than Encore’s built in encoder. We use Compressor from Apple and have had great success creating 720p MPEG-2 BluRay files.

Yeah we’ve already encoded the file in Sorensen. How can I tell Encore I don’t want it to re-encode it?
