720p to 1080i
I have a client who has to deliver programs on 1080i. I own a Varicam H. What is the process for upscaling 720p footage originating on a Varicam to 1080i? Can I cut in 720 and then upscale during/after online?
What are the quality issues I should be aware of? Can one tell the difference by looking at the deliverable tape?Thanks

I have edited two shows shot with the varicam and HVX at 720p 23.98 and delivered a 1080p 23.98 master. We cross converted when we output using the AJA Kona 3 capture card:
