720P footage in a XDCAM 1080i Sequence
I am finishing a project that is an XDCAM 1080i spec. I have new footage coming in that was shot 720P. How best to convert the footage so that the frame rate is not a problem?

If the footage is on tape and you have a Kona or other card that upconverts in real time let the card do the work for you. Otherwise, there are workflows using Compressor for file-based media, you can find by searching the Cow.

You should be able to just drop the 720P footage right on the timeline. FCP will handle the upconversion. Are both clips 20.97 fps? We do it all the time.
