720p 24pN project output questions
I’m planning a project that will be shot on the Panasonic HVX 200 and was planning on shooting 720p 24p native and building the project on a Media Composer at the same project settings – 720p, 23.97. However, the output master needs to be on D5 – 720p, 59.94. From what I can tell, neither Avid Media Composer or Adrenaline will perform a digital cut from a 23.97 timeline to 59.94. Does anyone have any experience trying to make this happen? If the Avid itself won’t do this, has anyone used a cross conversion box/card that works well? We’re trying to maximize our P2 card time and media storage space, which is the main reason for shooting 24pN. Any advice would would be appreciated!

You can output 59.94 with a 2:3 pulldown from a 23.976 timeline over FireWire when working in native DVCPRO 100. You need to be in green/green mode to do so.
