720p 23.98, Ki Pro and F3
What is the proper method to configure 720p 23.98 recording from a Sony F3 to a KiPro Mini?
When the F3 is set to record as such it appears to do so natively to the SxS cards but feeds 720p 59.94 out of the HD-SDI.
Not sure of this as the menu settings for the HD-SDI output sometimes displays an grayed option for the addition of pull down but that really seems more applicable for 1080p based material. Anyone know for sure what it is coming out of the F3 in 720p 23.98 mode?
Ideally we would love to get Pro Res files with true 23.98 frame rates.
Not sure how to deal with 720p 23.98 over 59.94 from a post production perspective when working with file based media in Media Composer.
Also any issues with triggering remote recording with the F3?

To the best of our knowledge, the Sony PMW-F3, in 720p, does not output the type of ancillary data needed to extract 720p 23.98 from within the larger 720p 59.94 output; the Ki Pro and Ki Pro Mini VFR feature was primarily designed to support Panasonic 720p VFR-capable cameras.
To use the record triggering method for the Ki Pro Mini, you will need media in the camera and you will need to use record run timecode. The Arm Recording feature is covered on page 37 of the Ki Pro Mini manual.
