720 24p P2 into FCP5.1 timeline results in rendering
Can someone please tell me how to get my setting right for importing P2 material shot 720 24p into
a Imac Duo 1.7 with 2G ram. I can play clips in the viewer with no problem, but get render bars when dragging
material into the timeline.
I tried DVCPROHD settings at 30fps and 23.94fps and still got render bars. -

That would make the footage 720p60 — Look at the footage ( cmd-9) to see what FCP says it is
then use the same setting for your easy set up and then Create a new sequence.my guess is that you need to be using the DVCPROHD 720p60 setting if you shot 24p.
