60p 1080 in FCP ?
I’m working on a project shot with a Sony SR deck in 1080p 59.94 mode ( 422 – 8 bit )
– trying to capture this now thru a Kona 3 card in dual link mode from the SR deck.
– I don’t see any 1080p 60 or 59.94 “capture” options in FCP – I do see 1080p 59.94 as a “viewing” option…
– the Kona 3 manual says 1080p 59.94 is supported – so … ?
– what do I need to import this footage in it’s native format !
( I was able to capture in 720p Pro Rez 422 mode )

I was capturing and laying back for Sony at NAB at 1080 60P with the SRW-5800 so it absolutely is possible. It is a very new format, so do you have the latest Kona 3 drivers installed? If so, why don’t you give AJA tech support a call? They are very responsive to problems like these. Please post back your solution once you talk to them.
