Hi I recently updated Vegas to 6.0d.

After I applied the patch I was unable to preview _any_ video at full frame rate. The “Video Preview” window would stutter occasionally, and report a “Display” frame rate of about 80% to 90% of what it should (ie 24-25 fps when playing 60i NTSC DV). The project was set to NTSC DV 29.97 standard.

I did a system restore, which reverted my copy of Vegas to 6.0b; and the problem is gone. I get my full 29.97fps during playback with the same DV clip.

I’ve tried turning off the media manager, and making adjustments to various other settings while 6.0d was installed, but nothing helped.

    Anyone else seeing this problem?

    Here are my system specs:
    Windows XP 64bit edition, AMD64 dual-processor/dual-core (4-cores total), 8gb RAM, 750gm 7200rpm RADI5, dual Fire GL 1000’s

I always post to Cow 1st, the answers generally come _much_ faster than they do from tech-support 🙂

Usually you are right but in this case, I think a tech is needed—Tell us what happens one way or another.

I am having the same stutter problem after updating to 6.0d. This was not present in 6.0a. What’s worse is that the some of the stutters are there after rendering. They seem to appear before or after a transition. This did not happen when the same project was rendered in 6.0a.

Ethan, did you receive a response from Sony?
