is it possible to make a custom sized sequence in FCP?
I’m trying to create a swv fle from png files that are 600×285
I tried making custom sequences at this dimensions and when I imported the pictures into fcp and put them on the timeline there was black on either side…

You can make a custom sequence size. Probably what’s happening is that your imported material is being scaled to fit the timeline and is not in the same aspect ratio as your sequence.
