    Hi there,
Hoping I can get some urgent help. I have been using my beloved 5D mark ii for years NEVER had a problem with it. Now suddenly, while I’m shooting in M mode and I zoom in on the standard sense it starts making a weird shuttering noise constantly which is audible during recording! So it is coming out on my video which of course I can’t have. On top of that, the aperture is flickering black on and off and it tries to re-adjust itself, without me touching the aperture dial – all very strange. I have dismounted & remounted the lense & taken out the battery etc – to no avail.

Could it be the internal clock? I’m away filming in Germany so all I could get was a CR2025 battery, but I’m pretty sure it’s not compatible as mark ii usually takes CR2016 I think. Any other troubleshooting ideas gratefully received!
I’m also using the magic lantern hack on my CF cards but never had a problem with that.

    thanks, Sharon.
