Transcoding 5D footage to ProRes for FCP use. There are also .THM unix files in with the rushes is it ok to delete those files? What are they?

    Thanks

Those files contain a thumbnail plus metadata. They kind of contain the EXIFs of your clips. I don’t know if they are *needed* but I wouldn’t delete them. They contain valuable information.

But by converting the original footage to ProRes do they still ‘connect’ themselves to the ProRes versions of the master rushes??
