I shot a project with the P2 camera at 720 24pn using P2 cards and I’m editing on a 23.98 timeline…went back for some reshoots and used the same camera but instead of P2 cards, I used a firestore that output my media at 59.94 even though i set is for 24pn…my question is can I downconvert the 59.94 clips to make it an authentic 23.98 clip? My timeline is set for 720 24pn. When I drag the clips(59.94) into my 23,98 timeline it conforms, and it automatically has a green bar over it…what is it doing exactly, thanks. RL

When you import your clips, open the log and transfer preferences and choose the option to remove advanced pulldown/redundant frames option. As long as you truly shot 720p24 over 60, the pulldown should get removed upon import.

If your data is already wrapped in Quicktime movies from the firestore, then put all of those firestore clips in their own bin, open that bin then select them all. Go to Tools > DVCPRo HD Frame Rate converter and conform those clips to 23.98 and make the new movies self contained. That should remove the pulldown as well.
