59.94 to 23.98
Ok.. heres my dilemma.
My project is DVCPro HD 720p 23.98, i’ve completed the cut and have laid to tape the footage used with handles (request from the client). Went to a color correct session on a davinci and exported the new color footage to quicktime 59.98.. as we couldn’t get the system to correctly handle the 23.98 conversion or that what we assumed. Here’s how we did it… from the master tape, through the davinci and then to final cut pro, where we recorded the material now colored to quicktime.
my question is how would i go about converting the 59.98 material to 23.98 for my project?
any suggestions would be great.thanks

Well in theory a 3:2 pulldown must have been added somewhere along the line. Running through Cinema Tools to remove should do the trick.
