September 26, 2006 at 10:12 pmMy first machine I tried, FCP will no long open after I installed the update. It just tells me a closed unexpectedly.
Tried permissions, preferences, all the usual. No go. Be careful with this update.

September 26, 2006 at 11:00 pmKnock wood. Installed on my Mac Pro 2.66 w/BMD HD Extreme card. Reinstalled BMD drivers. Re-started Mac – Final Cut starts up fine – navigated to a project I just completed – it opened and plays fine. So far….so good.

September 26, 2006 at 11:11 pmI too am THOROUGHLY IMPRESSED with the P2 Import ability. You can now vew BEFORE you import…and rename the footage, mark IN/OUT.
Too good to be true.
And the SCOPES! The SCOPES ARE AMAZING.

September 26, 2006 at 11:48 pmI just opened a 1080 project…. and over half the film comes up as “red/render.” No filters, no motion tab effects….. but there are other clips that play back… match frame and replace edit doesn’t fix it. 1080 clips play fine in source monitor…..
