    5.1 Surround Sound With Sound Blaster Xf-i Card?

    Hi

    I have a Sound Blaster XF-I Extreme Audio soundcard which is able to output 5.1 surround sound. However, in the PPro audio hardware set up and I only seem to have one option – ie Premiere Pro Windows Sound. In the ASIO settings it shows the Sound Blaster but shows it as only having 2 channels… So, in Audio Output Mapping I don’t see any way of setting up the other (missing) channels.

    Can anyone advise me please? Maybe this is not a true 5.1 card?

    You need ASIO multichannel support. I believe the XFI Platinum series supports it. I don’t think your card does.
