    hi, i have sony vegas pro8
    how should i make 5.1 surround sound video from ordinary video file like(.dat,.avi,.mpg,….etc.)with help of vegas? and how it would burn on dvd?

    well, I guess you have originally video with two audio tracks only (stereo). In brief, you need first to set up your project (FILE->PROPERTIES) as 5.1 audio, and than at least to add audio channels to populate front speakers sound and back speakers sound. At last you need to render your sound to AC3 file and render your Video to MPG. When you are done with that use those files in Architect to burn your DVD.
