Hi all, can you help me Export a 5.1 & Stereo mix out of PP.
I have it set up to export 8 Discreet Channel all Mono perfectly
but I need to do it so the Stereo Mix on Trk 7 exports out as
Stereo. Here’s a Pic of what I’m trying to achieve.

Not 8 Channels of Mono, just 6 with a Stereo Mix on 7&8.
    Thanks

Pan channels 7&8 left and right with the audio track mixer.

Hi Buddy, still not getting what I need. I need 7&8 to be embedded Stereo. If you have 6 Trks for the Surround and a separate Stereo Mix that your adding to 7 or 8 how do you get the Stereo mix.
FCP is the easy way. Your stereo mix takes up 7&8 and you can Pan Left & Right if you need to.
This just isn’t the case in PP.
    What am I not doing??

You can’t mix and match in Premiere. Multichannel exports will be mono tracks.

Thanks for the bad news Tero. Much appreciated.
Glad I still have FCP 7 for Mastering.

Matthew – you are experiencing the same issue I’ve dealt with when trying to export trailers from PPro (or Avid, for that matter) needing to have mixed audio embedded in the QT file. Same issue – I need a file with stereo comp mix on 1&2, stereo M&E on 3&4, and 5.1 mono on 5-10.

I’ve posted this question many times, in many different forums, but every time it seems the answer is no. No, it can’t be done in PPro or Avid. I can’t speak for FCPX, as I don’t use it, but this very issue is the reason why my next iMac will have a Parallels partition with an older OS just so that I can load FCP 7 on it and easily export QT files with mixed audio.

hey dude that is not true, you can export multi channels and do 5.1 easily you just have to set it up when you create a sequence its in the tracks tab of the new sequences window. you have a number of options to choose.

hey dude if you need a true Multi channel export or 5.1 mix you can do it. you just need to set it up when you create the sequence. if your project is finished just create a new sequence and in the new sequence menu hit the tracks tab and under the audio section it lets you choose your flavour of 5.1 or multi channel mastering.
then copy and past you project to the new sequence and export.
