First, do not type in all caps.

Once you change your project to surround sound, all your audio track headers should shave a surround pan control appear on their right side.

You can drag the red diamond to whereever you want in the sound space. If you want to change the control over time, turn on automation controls with the gear-like button on the track header.
With automation on, you can change the position during playback, and it records the movements by adding keyframes for you.

What do you mean by track view list?

Im inquiring about the tracks that suppose to appear after I select 5.1 surround in the audio tab. That’s what the instructions state. My surround mixer only appears. Do I suppose to insert 6 audio tracks or 1?

Add as many audio tracks as you like and then their outputs to any position in the 5 speaker sound space. The LFE (subwoofer) channel is automatically generated.

BTW, the keyboard shortcut for adding audio tracks is Ctrl/Q.

ONE MORE QUESTION…SO WHEN I PAN TRACKS, FOR EXAMPLE ON REAR CHANNELS, CAN I PAN IT WHERE THERE IS NO DIALOGUE BY MUTING THE FRONT AND CENTER SPEAKER ON THE SURROUND PANNER? BASICALLY MY PROJECTS ARE FOR AUDIO PURPOSES ONLY FROM NORMAL MP3s AND WOULD LIKE A SURROUND MIX THAT THE FRONT AND CENTER SPEAKERS PLAY DIALOGUE AND MUSIC AND THE REARS PLAY EFFECTS AND BACKGROUND MUSIC. THATS ALL I WANNA DO FOR NOW.

You would mute audio at a given time and duration by using a volume or mute envelope on that particular track. Right-click the track header for the envelope options.

When I’m doing a surround mixdown during playback, after I select front/left speaker for a solo, the left rear bleeds ( is audible) even when I mute the rears for the front/left speaker. It’s vice versa with the other speakers. Does anyone know why? Because I need to make sure my effects are being utilized to each speaker.
