    HI!,

I am new to raid array & want to extend existing raid 5.
I need help to extend array.the current setup is as follows,

    Array A
    unused space : 349956 MB

    logical drive :1
    total size 273GB
    raid5
    disk : /dev/cciss/c0d0

    physical
    1I:1:5 – 146gb
    2I:1:1 – 146gb
    2I:1:2 – 146gb
    2I:1:3 – 146gb
    2I:1:4 – 146gb

now I want to use unused space. How can I extend the array using unused space?

another thing I have 2 more unassigned disk.
    1I:1:6
    1I:1:7

if I want to use that too, how I can extend the existing array?
I dont want to loose any data. server is in production.
so I want to use “hpacucli” command.

    all help appreciate.

    Thanks,
    Ajay

Sounds like an HP RAID controller? HP server as well? Which ones? The OS – Linux?

    Did you see this tutorial?

Have you tried running an HP ACU GUI version? (That would make array expansion a no-brainer.)
