4k workflow for Canon 1DC PP CC and Resolve 11
Hey guys. I’m having trouble understanding a few things about my workflow with 1DC. I shot in 4k. Transcoded with resolve to prores hq 1920×1080 proxies. Edit in premiere then send XML to resolve to re conform to original 4k and grade. This is where I get a little lost. I want to finish in HD 1920×1080, but am unclear when I should downscale the image. When roundtripping back to Premiere after the grade should I export 4k full aperture QuickTime 4444 files? When I do this no matter whether my timeline settings are 4k or 1080 the image has bars on either side. I’ve also tried just the 4k 4096 x 2160 settings in resolve and I still get bars on side in the return to premiere. My question is what is the basic resolve to premiere return to add in the last bits like audio master track and titles, Etc and should
I finish in resolve or premiere?Thanks in advance for any advice!
