    Hi,

Like (many ?) other After effects users I have trouble to get real time playback with Ram preview in AE (since CC 2015 version because CC 2014 runs prefectly ok).
I’ve got the exact same problem describe by Jeff here:
    https://forums.creativecow.net/thread/2/1118261
It seems that it is a bug in the After Effects UI related to 4k monitor display.

I’ve heard (not sure of that) that this bug occurs with some 4k monitors but not with other. I’m willing to change my monitor if it can solve the problem.

So I need a buying advice. Do you guys have a 4k monitor model to recommand to me ? Is there any 4k monitor that runs smootly the Ram preview in AE ?
    I’m on Windows 10.

    Thanks a lot.

I’m using a Samsung LU28E590DS (model may vary. I’m in Brazil)

Ae works fine doing previews, although I get times in which the first time it previews after cached It may drop some frames and go to 20 something. After the second play it goes smoothly (So maybe its more of a RAM issue than interface).

    Hi Cassius,

Thanks a lot for the feedback. Yes it is a RAM preview bug but it seems (not sure that’s why I’m asking to other users) that bug only occurs with 4k monitors but not all of them…
This frame drop is very ennoying for the kind of work I do with AE (mostly music video clip). Waiting the second playback to get a realtime preview with audio is just impossible when you do a lot of ram preview all day long. This bug was not there in CC 2014 it is there since CC 2015 and Adobe doesn’t seems to care…
