    Hey everyone,
So I have some 4k red files that I need to edit a two minute sequence with in Avid and then go back to a 4k file to play in real time on a hd projector. The file just cannot skip so I am assuming I need to export so that the file is fairly small yet still 4k.
Im not entirely sure how to do this so any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,
    Ian

You can’t do 4K in Avid. You’ll need to use some DI tools for that.

Why a 4K file on a projector that is only HD? Somewhere along the way, it is going to get resized, etc. Also, what is color space and calibration of projector?

Well this is a quick assignment for a graduate class that I am in so the teacher want to see that we can work with a 4k image and then have it projected for the class, play in real time with no skips and be a 4k image, even though its in an HD projector.

…except of course for Avid DS.
