I have an animated short film done in 4:3 format (1440 x 1080). The 4:3 choice was an artistic one.

When I want to render in Wraptor DCP format (2k, Flat, 24fps), it crops the film from the top and bottom, cutting out the hardcoded subtitles at the bottom and giving the illusion that it’s a widescreen film.

How can I preserve the 4:3 box look while still rendering it out at the required 2k 1998 x 1080 resolution?

Pad the sides of the source DSM file with black back out to 2K width.
