April 29, 2008 at 6:26 amthanks. but I should not export from fcp and make an m2v initially– first i need to make a quicktime, is this correct? thanks. or can i just export from fcp into compressor to make the m2v and then import this into dvdsp?

April 29, 2008 at 9:56 amIf you export from FC directly, you are converting your NTSC movie to PAL QT and making a PAL MPG2 all at once. Too many things. If your final MPG2 looks bad you will be more difficult to isolate the problem. Also when sending to Compressor from FC all must to be rendered again. Even if all the sequence has been already rendered. And if you make a Double Pass MPG2, the clip will be rendered twice.
You better export your film and send it later to Compressor.Mac OX 10.5.2-FC 6.02-QT 7.4.1
