So I have a page where I want to post several videos.. take a look

    https://www.networthrealestategroup.com/media.php

You may or may not see all 4 videos but they are there.

What I want to do is figure out how to tell flash not to load the video, but to just load a single frame of the video so that people are not swamped with bandwidth issues in loading all 4 videos… a video tile is what I want that is replaced with the video when the user clicks on it…

Problem is, I dont know how to do that – any suggestions?

    Thanks

You can create a SWF with a snapshot of your video and a play button, then, when the user click on the button it will load another movie -with the flv- inside the SWF.

I think this is the simplest way (unless somebody had a better solution, of course). If you are not very familiar with internal movie loads and actionscript you can always ask in the Flash forum.

Check out Slideshow Pro. It’s awesome, and plays video or photos. It does exactly what you want, and you can add their Thumbgrid product if needed. It’s so easy to manage, too.

We use it on a ton of client sites, it’s really cool and easy to use.

No, I am not affiliated with SildeShow Pro in any way, except as a happy customer.
