    Hi All,

I am wondering if there is an method, similar to Avid’s Direct Audio in/out, to capture video with 4 channels of audio. We are runnning FCP-HD with a Black Magic Decklink Extreme card and capturing from Digi-Beta. Currently, we have to do a second capture of just the audio after we’ve changed the card settings to capture only chaannels 3&4. There must be a more efficient way to do this in FCP.

    Thanks for your help,

    Gene M. Patrick

You could capture all four at once with FCP 5 and QT 7, but not with HD… was one of the “new features” in FCP 5…

We’re using Kona 2 cards – 8 channels embedded in the SDI stream. Getting four to and from the digiBeta is an Easy Setup away.
