    I may be overlooking something obvious, but I can’t seem to output 4 discrete channels to a quicktime file.

    I don’t have a multi-channel output device, and it seems that I can only output 2 channels. I get 4 discrete channels in my Quicktime file, but channels 3 and 4 are silent, and 1 and 2 are a mix of the 4 channels.

    The manual is not clear on this issue, so any clarification would be great.

    In the Audio Mixer, control clicking the Audio Tracks reveals the output assignment. That, along with setting the sequence to have 4 channels of output, was the trick.
