4 Channel Audio Capture from Digibeta?
I was recently given footage from a Digibeta shoot with 4 channels of Audio. Channels 1+3 have the LAV mic from the main subject and Channels 2+4 have the boom mic. The AES outputs of my digibeta have one cable for channels 1/2 and another cable for 3/4. Given that there are only two distict ouputs from the deck, when I do my capture in final cut through the Kona 2 does that mean that I’m getting the boom and LAV mixed together on channels 1 and 2 respectively? Given the way this was shot, is there anyway to keep the boom and LAV on separate channels when I capture so that when I send this to an audio house for sweetening they won’t run into problems? I’m working on OS 10.3.9 and Final Cut HD. Qucktime version is 6.5.2. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike
