I’m exporting a model from Cinema 4D as a 3DS file so I can open it in Photoshop (to ultimately open in After Effects), but whenever I try to, I get this error message:

The Photoshop 3D file format could not parse this file

Does anyone know how to remedy this? Apologies if this has been addressed before; I haven’t been able to find an answer.

Make sure using 3D menu. New layer from 3rd file

Is there anything else I can do?

It seems to work if I export it from Cinema 4D as a Wavefront (OBJ) file, but it seems to hide all my color. Is there a way around this?
