3D Transform Question
Hi, I’m new to video, graphic editing, and this board. I want to rotate 2d concentric circles around the y-axis with looking 3d. This a might a better description of what trying to do; I want the outside circles to rotate around the inner circles. I have no problem rotating the circles, but its does it in stack layers. Is there any way to have Motion treat the different circles as if they were on the same layer, so I can get the 3d effect.

Welcome to the forum. Layers won’t interact with each other in 3D because groups are 2D by default. Make the group a 3D group (select and choose 3D group from the Object menu) and your circles layers will interact with each other.

Thank you, Mark! I can’t believe how easy that was; I been fooling around with different settings and I was stuck and never would figured that out without your help. I have some…actually a lot of other questions, but I want to see if can figure them out myself or find answers in the forum.
