Are you talking about real 3D text or 2D text in 3D space? And could you give more details about the animation itself. How will the text pass through the paper?

2D text in 3D space is real 3D text, as far as the text elements are composited according to their 3D coordinates and not their stacking order.
What you call real 3D text is “extruded text”. It’s not more or less real 🙂

As for the original questions, yes, it should be a little more clear what you want to achieve.

I’m aware of the difference between extruded 3D text and 2.5D “postcards in space”, which is what I was trying to clarify. By “real 3D text” I was asking if the text itself would be 3-dimensional or extruded, not just flat text in 3D space. I appreciate that you are trying to help, but I felt your reply was a bit condescending.

Thank you all for looking at my question.
It is 2d text but using the 3dshapeExtruder effect.WhatI would like to achieve is for the text to appear from the hidden side of the paper and to pass through the paper.
