3D Project Setup in AE
Hi,
I have seen several reels using 3d Motions in After Effects thats going beyond rotating some objects or a camera but moving in a large space with long distances between objects.
I always have problems animating my camera and especially setting up my 3D layers in space with objects out of my view field of the composition etc.
Is there some tutorial which helps with the 3D setup of larger scenes and maybe also camera animation? I am especially interested in …1. setting up a large floor layer and hovering over it, changing focus on several objects placed all over it. How large to you set the layer size for the floor objects and get a good horizon of the floor layer?
2. There are plenty of animations with 2D components like growing lines etc. followed by a camera, for example this one on trapcodes site:
https://www.trapcode.com/gallery/abertura_h.mov
Theres plenty of these with type, lines etc. moving over much longer distances from object to scene or whatever than in this one. Basically its the same question as for the first. Do you set up 3D space or a large composition which is panned/zoomed in on?
I already looked for tutorials but all i found deal with small 3D setups like a room or a short road. Any hints? Thanks in advance for any help,
Karim
