3D precomp question. What?
Hey all,
Trying to brainstorm the best way to do the following.
I have a grid of video squares (all the rage these days). The squares are precomps containing a 3D environment of living rooms with people doing typical things. All stills set up at varying degrees of Z-depth to show perspective change when the camera moves.
I want the camera to fly into one of these squares, but without a change in perspective until the camera almost fills the screen with the video square. At a certain point I want it to start paying attention to perspective, but not until we get really close. Hope I am explaining this well enough.
It is kind of similar to the Carnivale opening:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-Onb-FqR74I am guessing that I need to cut between a collapsed and an uncollapsed version of my precomp? Maybe? Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
